The Express Service Department Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Express Service Department, ensuring that our team delivers top-notch automotive service in a timely manner. **Key Responsibilities:**
- **Team Leadership:** Supervise and mentor Express Service technicians and support staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- **Customer Service:** Serve as the primary point of contact for customers in the Express Service area, addressing inquiries, concerns, and service recommendations with professionalism and courtesy.
- **Operational Oversight:** Ensure all services are performed accurately and promptly by managing workflow, scheduling, and task assignments for the Express Service team.
- **Quality Control:** Monitor the quality of service provided by technicians, conducting regular inspections, and implementing improvements as needed to maintain service standards.
- **Training and Development:** Conduct regular training sessions for the team to enhance skills and knowledge related to Honda vehicles, service processes, and customer service.
- **Inventory Management:** Oversee the inventory of parts and supplies needed for quick service operations, ensuring availability and minimizing downtime.
- **Performance Metrics:** Analyze service department performance metrics, preparing reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- **Collaboration:** Work closely with the Service Manager and other departments to align goals, share best practices, and enhance overall dealership performance.
- **Safety Compliance:** Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations to create a safe work environment for all employees and customers.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; automotive technology degree or certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive service, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Honda vehicles and understanding of automotive repair processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in using service management software and other relevant technology.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
